Reconnexion Verte: Outdoor Education for Youth Well-being
Reconnexion Verte is an Erasmus+ project coordinated by Association Petite Graine (France) in partnership with Next Level e.V. (Germany).
In response to the growing challenges of youth mental health, social isolation, and excessive screen use, the project aims to strengthen youth workers' competences in using outdoor education as a powerful tool for learning, well-being, and inclusion.
Project Objectives
- Strengthen youth workers' competences in outdoor education.
- Promote young people's mental health, well-being, and resilience.
- Develop innovative nature-based youth work methods.
- Encourage inclusion, active participation, and citizenship.
- Reinforce European cooperation between youth organisations.
Main Activities
Preparatory Visit (APV)
A preparatory meeting between partners helped define the educational framework, practical arrangements, and implementation plan.
International Training Course
Youth workers from France and Germany gathered in Bagnères-de-Luchon to experience outdoor education methods, experiential learning, and non-formal education practices.
Final Seminar
Participants shared experiences, evaluated project results, and reflected on how to transfer the acquired methods into their daily youth work practice.
Impact
The project enabled participants to develop competences in:
- Group facilitation and leadership
- Outdoor education
- Mental health and well-being support
- Inclusion and participation
