Jeunesse Active

Jeunesse Active

Ruralités durables, jeunesses actives is an Erasmus+ KA153 project coordinated by Association Petite Graine in partnership with Next Level e.V. in Germany.

The project responds to challenges faced by young people in rural and mountain areas, especially in Haute-Garonne and Thuringia: limited access to training, guidance, mobility, role models and opportunities linked to the green transition.

Its aim is to strengthen the capacity of youth workers so they can support young people to develop green skills, understand how the labour market is changing, and identify practical next steps towards training, volunteering, entrepreneurship and employment in sustainable sectors.

The project includes two Franco-German training courses in Bagnères-de-Luchon:

“From Mountains to Jobs: Green Skills Guidance in Rural Youth Work”

“From Training to Transfer: Integrating Green Pathways in Youth Work”

The trainings bring together youth work practitioners from France and Germany through non-formal education methods, experiential learning, peer cooperation and place-based activities connected to rural realities.

A key result of the project will be the online “Pathways to Green Jobs: Youth Work Toolkit”. This open, ready-to-use resource will include session plans, facilitation scripts, exercises, learning recognition tools, inclusion adaptations and resources for cross-sector cooperation. It will be available in French, German and English to support reuse by other youth work organisations across Europe.

Through this project, APG and Next Level aim to strengthen the quality and innovation of youth work, support young people with fewer opportunities, and build more concrete links between sustainability education, inclusion and future professional pathways in rural areas.
