An international experience dedicated to soil protection
From 30 August to 8 September 2026, Association Petite Graine and Next Level e.V. will bring together 16 young people from France and Germany at Burg Tannroda, near Bad Berka in Thuringia. Travel days are included in these dates.
This youth exchange is part of the project Activating Youth in Sustainable Farming and Soil Protection. It will help participants develop practical knowledge and skills in sustainable farming and soil protection, learn from their peers and gain the confidence needed to start their own environmental initiatives.
Who can participate?
This opportunity is open to young people aged 17 to 30 who would like to join the French group and who are interested in soil protection, sustainable farming, ecology or local environmental initiatives.
The group will include eight participants from France and eight participants from Germany.
What will you discover?
Participants will take part in practical activities and collaborative learning sessions focused on sustainable farming, soil conservation and the development of environmental projects.
The exchange will also offer an opportunity to meet young people from another country, share experiences and learn through intercultural cooperation and peer-to-peer learning.
Accommodation and food
Accommodation will be provided at Burg Tannroda in tents shared by a maximum of two people. Toilets and bathrooms are available both indoors and outdoors.
Fresh meals will be prepared every day. Participants should communicate any allergies, dietary restrictions or food preferences in advance.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own sleeping bag, although one can be provided upon request. Please also bring clothing suitable for changing weather conditions, a towel, toiletries, personal medication and valid insurance.
Travel and reimbursement
French participants must prepare a travel plan from their place of residence to Erfurt or Tannroda and send it to Association Petite Graine.
Tickets must only be purchased after the proposed journey has been approved by Petite Graine. Eligible travel costs will be reimbursed according to Erasmus+ rules and on the basis of the most economical travel option.
Participants must keep all tickets, invoices, receipts and boarding passes in order to receive reimbursement.
